“It’s about having the opportunity to meet with people that you might not have done otherwise – and to learn about the very human stories behind homelessness.”

Winter Night Shelter

It’s hard to imagine how tough it is sleeping rough through the cold of the winter months. Our winter night shelter stands at the heart of everything we do, bringing together 30 or so churches and around 1,000 amazing volunteers to offer 35 warm beds for the night from November to April.

Floating Support

This year we have launched a pilot program, supporting our guests to sustain their new accommodation.

Wednesday Club

If you’ve ever stayed a night with Robes, join us for lunch every Wednesday between 10:30 am and 2:30 pm. You’ll find good food, friendly conversation, fun games and the opportunity to find out about other organisations that can give advice on things like employability and training. A helping hand with moving your home and work situation in the right direction.

Advice & Guidance

Our shelter is at the heart of what we do, but our support doesn’t end there. That’s why we keep an open dialogue. Shelter from the cold is for one night, but our practical and emotional support continues far beyond. Regardless of country of origin, mother tongue, age or how you identify, if you’re on our patch our door is always open.

SleepOut

Would you like to sleep under the stars to help the homeless keep warm? Each November, you can join more than 150 volunteers sleeping outdoors in the precincts of Southwark Cathedral and raise money to offer warm beds to South London’s homeless.
